From Concept to Company — The MagValve Story

MagValve's origins trace back to 2020, driven by a vision to develop a more accessible, refrigerant-free approach to thermal energy transfer. The first three years were intentionally exploratory — a rigorous period of building and testing that, while challenging, generated the deep technical insights that led directly to our core breakthrough in late 2023.

From that point, development moved quickly. A validated proof of concept and provisional New Zealand patent followed in early 2024, with international PCT publication achieved by May 2025. Each successive prototype — from single to four-cylinder — has demonstrated measurable performance gains, culminating in a 1.1kW machine delivering consistently strong results.

MagValve Ltd was formally established in January 2026. We enter the market with a proven technology, a protected IP position, and a clear development roadmap — now focused on securing the investment to scale.
